The U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) is a 34,000-acre facility located near Clay Center, NE. The work performed at USMARC supports research that is focused on solving high priority problems for the U.S. beef cattle, sheep, and swine industries.
As an Electrician III, you will:
Perform skilled work in all phases of electrical maintenance.
Repair and install wiring, fixtures, and equipment including motors, motor controllers, well water coils, and controls,
Assist with HVAC systems electronics repair and maintenance.
Rewire and replace outdated wiring and equipment.
Modify electrical circuitry and equipment to meet changing needs of researchers and operations staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Irregular hours and working in inclement weather may be required.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency plus four years electrical experience or on-the-job training required.
Thorough knowledge of electrician's tools and ability to work from ladder/heights essential.
Nebraska journeyman electrical license and knowledge of electrical code necessary.
