This position is paid 4 credits. Credit rate is dependent on experience ranging from $775-$1650 per credit. Assignment start date is January 13 and end date is May 15. Class is on Monday & Tuesday Afternoon (1:00pm - 5:00pm).
Job Description Minnesota West Community and Technical College seeks an Adjunct Electrical Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to teaching, is committed to students, student learning, and student success. Candidates should be interested in participating in classroom research, outcomes-based assessment, quality improvement, and faculty development.
Minimum Qualifications
* Must qualify for Minnesota State Credentialing in the Electrical credential field. For additional information regarding licensure requirements, please refer to the Minnesota State Credentialing Website at: https://www.minnstate.edu/system/asa/academicaffairs/cfc/fields/500175.html * Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program. * Four full time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial. * Recency Requirement: one year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application in the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. * State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License.
Preferred Qualification
* Post secondary teaching experience in the credenital field. * Experience with D2L or other online Course Management System. * Understanding of the mission, vision, and core values of a comprehensive two year college. * Experience in curriculum development. * Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
