A typical starting range for this position is $44.72 - $52.61+ hourly. Responsibilities: Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform service, repair and preventative maintenance to GRE fleet assets including vehicles, trailers, aerials, and power operated equipment.
Inspect, service, diagnose, and make minor and major repairs to electrical, hydraulic, air conditioning, gasoline, and diesel systems.
Comply with established GRE safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.
Perform some fabrication and welding.
Perform OSHA/ANSI annual inspection and required repairs to GRE fleet assets including aerials, digger derricks, cranes, and trailers.
Perform emergency field repairs to GRE fleet assets.
Maintains GRE assigned equipment, tools, and materials in mobile service truck to provide safe and efficient use.
Perform MN DOT inspections on all GRE fleet vehicles and trailers over 10,000# GVWR.
Maintains current bi-annual DOT inspector certification.
Qualifications:
Minimum education requirements include a two-year technical degree in automotive/heavy duty truck repair with two to three years’ work experience in automotive/heavy duty truck repair and maintenance; or equivalent related courses with a minimum of four years’ work experience in automotive/heavy duty truck repair and maintenance. Requires MN DOT Inspector certification or the ability to earn certification. Class A CDL preferred. Ability to travel 25%, with some overnight, to field locations and service centers to perform work.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions will be indoors and occasionally outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather conditions of extreme cold or heat. Schedules shall be an eight hour shifts and requires traveling one week per month to field locations and service centers to perform work and may include some overnight stays. This position requires the ability to sit, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to climb, balance, work at heights and work with arms above your head occasionally and/or frequently. Ability to frequently and/or occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist and squat, work on even and uneven surfaces. Ability to frequently stand, push, pull, carry, grasp and finger objects. Subject to frequent vibration and hazards and on occasion exposed to fumes, dust or mist. Must have vision ability to encompass close-up and distant work, and the ability to speak and hear. This position is designated as a safety sensitive position for drug, cannabis and alcohol testing purposes.
