Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Maintain, repair, replace, fabricate, install, alter, construct, and design facility components that require the application of skills in planning, problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety.
2. Perform routine maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and/or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
3. Comply with NEC, State, and local building codes when installing electrical systems.
4. Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to lighting and lighting controls, motors and motor controls including VFDs, transfer switch equipment for emergency power, and transformers.
5. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.

Minimum Experience / Education:

Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

1. Four years of electrical trade experience is preferred.
2. Any additional trade experience in the field of Plumbing, Building Automation, and/or HVAC.
3. Availability to rotate on-call duties and work after hours when necessary.
4. Ability to foster and create an atmosphere of teamwork.
5. Ability to effectively communicate English (reading, writing, interpretation, and comprehension).
6. Effective skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, however, excellent communication skills are preferred.
7. Computer literate. Knowledge and skill with Google Applications.
8. Ability to effectively work/interact with persons from different backgrounds.
9. The selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the position's essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
10. Positions may be required to possess and maintain required certification, licensure, educational level, and/or experience criteria as applicable to the tasks being performed and follow applicable building codes.
