Anoka Technical College is actively seeking two (2) full-time instructors to join our Construction Electrician program. The core responsibilities of this role include instructing students across a variety of electrical subjects within the established curriculum. Additionally, the instructor will be responsible for developing and revising curriculum materials to ensure they remain up-to-date and in line with industry standards.
Furthermore, this position involves providing constructive feedback to students and assessing their competencies as outlined in the curriculum, all with the aim of supporting student success. Staying current with technical knowledge in the field through participation in professional development activities and engagement with professional organizations/advisory committee is a key component of the role.

Required Qualifications:
Education Requirement Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.
Occupational Experience Requirement Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.
Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Leadership/mentor experience – professional or personal
State of Minnesota Class A Masters Electrician License

In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to MnSCU's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.

Full-time faculty salaries are based on an evaluation of education and related experience after a job offer has been accepted and currently range from $40,912 -$85,892. Full-time faculty work 171 days during a nine-month academic year and receive excellent benefits including health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, short and long-term disability, paid personal and sick leave, retirement savings plans, tuition waiver for employees and dependents, professional development funds, along with many optional benefit programs.
Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
