Assists the Electrical Supervisor in leading and coordinating the work of electricians in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, components and fixtures in university owned buildings.,,
Coordinates the activities of electricians and supports personnel in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, interior/exterior lighting and emergency generators.,,
Assists the supervisor in developing work schedules and maintaining shop records and other department documentation.,,,,
Prepares monthly reports and reviews daily time sheets, overtime, vacation and sick leave request forms; logs electrical tasks performed in the electrical shop.,,
Assists in preparing performance appraisals of electricians and recommendations on promotions, new hires and terminations.,,,
Maintains tools and equipment and assists in maintaining an adequate stock of electrical equipment and supplies.,,,,
Assists with safety procedures and training.,,,,
Serves on special task force during periods of emergency such as floods, storms, hurricanes, etc.,

Qualifications
High school and 3 years experience
Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED. Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience. Requires technical certification or licensing directly related to the job, as specified on a job description addendum.
