JOB SUMMARY:
Perform duties to inspect, count, and test incoming raw materials, manufactured raw materials, and assemblies from production along with customer supplied product. Route raw material goods and subassemblies to proper location, maintain files, and enter data into Quality Assurance Database.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform appropriate standardized visual, dimensional, functional, and electrical tests on mechanical or electronic parts, manufactured raw materials and subassemblies following AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) sampling plans, using dedicated mechanical gages, electrical test equipment and vision systems.
2. First Article Inspection and Lot Inspection procedures
2.1 Perform First Article Inspection: to ensure raw materials meet or exceed drawing along with specifications and specified industry standards. Ensure dimensions and materials are conforming.
2.2 During Goods Receipt Inspection verify packaging and vendor delivery documents.
2.3 Verify TURCK manufacturing drawings or vendor documentation match TURCK Engineering Database.
2.4 Set up test fixtures and equipment as required.
2.5 Use dedicated measuring equipment in the inspection of product.
3. Route nonconforming parts and subassemblies to the Material Review area. Enter data into computer and process within prescribed time limits using the Quality Assurance Database.
4. Maintain Quality Assurance files, electronic files, and procedures.
5. Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Production and stockroom personnel.
6. Work with appropriate departments on all material issues to ensure customer orders are not jeopardized.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The job requires a High School Diploma or Vocational School and a minimum of three years related job experience performing electrical and mechanical inspections of product. Requires competency in blue print reading, inspection methods and standards, basic mathematics, and measuring equipment. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Standards knowledge desired. High level of written and verbal skills and the use of computers is a requirement. Must be able to lift material over 25 pounds and up to 60 pounds with occasionally lifting material up to 90 pounds.
