Inspection and evaluation of contractors work performance. Exercise independent judgment in applying prescribed policies, procedures and technical knowledge in these areas. Is considered college technical advisor on electrical matters . Maintain electrical equipment and systems, correct problems, and perform new electrical installations in compliance with National Electrical Codes.Campus assignment may vary short term or long term based on the needs of the department.Â Essential Functions:Â Performs main electrical installation work and preventive maintenance. Performs maintenance and repair, plus trouble shooting of electrical problems. Orders and keeps an inventory of electrical parts. Completes work orders in a timely manner and records information in the computer management system.
Required KSAs: â¢ Experience in several trades, primarily electrical. â¢ Ability to work from heights and ladders. Â â¢ Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. Â â¢ Ability to lift 75 lbs on a regular basis. Â â¢ Ability to work in both hot and cold weather for long periods of time. Â â¢ Able to participate in snow removal & other emergency duties. Â â¢ Be able to work any required shifts. Minimum Qualifications:Â â¢ Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record.Â Â â¢ High School graduate or equivalent.Â â¢ Experience working with blueprints, diagrams or sketches.Â Â â¢ Experience with residential and commercial wiring.
