Responsibilities 60% Inspects, repairs and adjusts automotive systems
Inspects, repairs and adjusts automotive systems fuel injection, electrical, exhaust, carburetor, hydraulic, and lubrication systems
Replaces repairs and adjusts components including: ignitions, brakes, break pads, shoes, drums, rotors, hoses, lights, tires, tailgates, lifts, etc.
Diagnoses malfunctions in various computer-monitored automotive systems and components such as ignition, carburetion, fuel injection, automatic transmissions, hydraulic systems, and anti-lock brakes using electronic analysis, diagnostic equipment, and specialized tools.
Overhauls, repairs, services and assembles farm equipment and machinery such as combines, forage harvesters, blowers, balers, grinder/movers, plows, disks, harrows.
20% Maintains computerized records of all maintenance performed
Knows and understands Department of Transportation inspection rules and record-keeping requirements.
20% Maintains building and equipment throughout the entire facility
Starting Hourly Rate: $21.35
Work Environment Work is performed in both a shop and field environment. This position may be exposed to hazardous conditions where hearing and visual protection may be required.
ASE certification in at least four of the eight Auto Series tests.

High school graduation or equivalent and two years of vocational education in automotive mechanics
Two years of automotive experience
Experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and general equipment.
