This position serves as an event staff electrician assisting the Coliseumâs electrical staff and ensuring that our guests and clients enjoy the most up-to-date and safest electrical system during events. Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical systems and equipment such as motors, switches, lighters, heaters, and alarm and control system. Determines need to repair and/or replace equipment.
Â·Support full time electrical staff during events. Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical systems and equipment such as motors, switches, lighters, heaters, and alarm and control system. Determines need to repair and/or replace equipment.
Â·Tests wiring system to ensure safety of all components.
Â·Will support Coliseum events through setting up temporary electrical power production and distribution.
Â·Estimates materials required for specific job components.
Â·Maintains clean job site throughout duration and cleans up job site following work completion. Stores and maintains supplies, tools, and equipment.
Â·Maintains safe working conditions for self and others by adhering to general electrical safety practices.
Â·Prepares reports and/or maintenance records as needed.

Position specific Job Qualifications:
Â·Education: High School Diploma or completion/enrollment of 4-year apprenticeship program
Â·Experience: 6 months
Â·Experience performing standard trade-related procedures.
Â·General knowledge of trade-related methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
Â·General knowledge of electrical codes.
Â·Familiar with city and state building codes, OSHA rules and regulations, standard safety practices and equipment, and other requirements for workplace safety.
Additional Information pertinent to this specific position:
This job will require a flexible schedule. May have to work weekends, evenings and/or holidays.
Understand both verbal and written instructions in English
Ability to work under limited supervision
Pay Rate: $22/hour
