The Construction Management Representative 2 is a highly skilled position which requires performing daily tasks and work assignments within the Construction Management and Logistics department. All electric and gas construction projects are processed and tracked by the Construction Management Representative 2 throughout the entire construction and closing process. The Construction Management Representative has critical responsibilities in the electric and gas meter set process, street light maintenance and communicating and coordinating schedules with members as well as CoServ personnel.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Communicates with members, developers, and CoServ personnel regarding logistics related to electric and gas construction projects.
Collaborates daily with Construction Contractors, Customer Service Representatives, Engineering Coordinators, and Accounting support to ensure customer satisfaction and project completion.
Prepares and releases all electric and gas construction packets to CoServ crews, contractors, construction project managers and inspectors.
Orders electric and gas material to ensure availability for construction resources.
Updates and monitors the Work Management System with the most recent electric and gas construction data.
Processes and reviews electric and gas invoices from contractors, third party inspection company and material suppliers then distributes to the appropriate CoServ personnel for review and approval.
Assembles asbuilt packets for electric and gas projects and provides the necessary information to update GIS mapping system.
Initiates project closure process for electric and gas construction projects for accounting.
Receives electric and gas meter releases provided by cities and generates service orders to initiate the meter setting process.
Receives and processes residential, commercial, retail, and industrial electric and gas meter requests from builders and members through the designated construction management workgroup.
Schedules appointments with members for CoServ service department.
Generates service orders and work orders for maintenance, outages, and safety hazards.
Collects and assemble documentation of facility damages and submit to Revenue Recovery for billing purposes.
Adheres to department procedures when processing information from customer requests and other departments, as well as investigating issues and complaints.
Manages electric and gas underground service line construction by collecting updates and requests from builders and customers, entering all information in CIS, and scheduling construction contractors accordingly.
Manages electric and gas meter service contractors by assigning daily service orders and ensuring that they are completed in a timely manner.
Receives and processes requests for street light repairs, connects and disconnects from CoServ members and assigns to crews for completion.
Assists members, customers, and builders/developers with construction, scheduling, metering, street light, and engineering questions and/or status.
Maintains a thorough understanding of CoServ’s customer information system (NISC iVue), Work Management System (IBM Maximo) and Work Order accounting system (NISC iVue).
Assists customer service, operations, accounting, engineering and CoServ gas while communicating and cooperating in cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
Acknowledges review of CoServ’s Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
Complies with established CoServ safety and operating rules, procedures, and guidelines. Responsible for reporting unsafe practices to a supervisor.
Complies with established CoServ Information Security Handbook, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Responsible for reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support.

Must be proactive in seeking solutions for the department and be self motivated to take ownership of job responsibilities.
Initiates locate requests for CoServ construction crews.
Often exceeds department standards on a consistent basis.
Ability to learn new software.
A working knowledge of the construction contractors on the CoServ system.
Access Business Objects (WEBI) for various reports.
Knowledge of single and three phase metering to ensure proper scheduling.
Attends CoServ University and Industry training as required.
Education and Certifications Required
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency.
Education and Certifications Preferred
Associates or Bachelors Degree.
Three (3) years office or workload logistics experience.
Three (3) years experience in electric and/or gas utility industry.
Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to work in an office environment.
Communicating effectively with co-workers and contractors.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Programs: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint.
Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision, and in teams.
Ability to work under strict deadlines and has strong problem solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to use standard office/business equipment in a safe manner and observe all safety rules and regulations.
