Inspection and evaluation of contractors work performance. Exercise independent judgment in applying prescribed policies, procedures and technical knowledge in these areas. Is considered college technical advisor on electrical matters . Maintain electrical equipment and systems, correct problems,and perform new electrical installations in compliance with National Electrical Codes. Essential Functions: •Performs main electrical installation work and preventive maintenance. Performs maintenance and repair, plus trouble shooting of electrical problems. Orders and keeps an inventory of electrical parts. Completes work orders in a timely manner and records information in the computer management system.
Required KSAs: • Experience in several trades, primarily electrical. • Ability to work from heights and ladders. • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form. • Ability to lift 75 lbs on a regular basis. • Ability to work in both hot and cold weather for long periods of time. • Able to participate in snow removal & other emergency duties. • Be able to work any required shifts. Minimum Qualifications: • Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record. • High School graduate or equivalent. • Experience working with blueprints, diagrams or sketches. • Journeyman trade license or equivalent. • Experience with residential and commercial wiring.
