Description Under general supervision and according to established procedures, performs electrical repairs and maintenance of hospital equipment and building power. This includes preventive maintenance of facility electrical distribution and cleaning of equipment. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/ technical schooling preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: New Mexico Journeyman Electrical License. Valid New Mexico driver's license.
SKILLS: Electrical diagnosis and troubleshooting skills. Skills in new and renovation electrical construction. Electric motor controls and direct digital controls skills.
EXPERIENCE: Five years commercial electrical service experience or three years commercial electrical experience with an associate degree required.
NATURE OF SUPERVISION: -Responsible to: Director, Facility Services
ENVIRONMENT: - Bloodborne pathogens - C Hazards include electrical shock, infectious waste, airborne particles, dust, lint, metal, biological waste, high temperatures and gasses. Safety equipment provided by hospital. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heavy physical effort is required. Must be capable of lifting and/or moving 100 lbs. Must be able to climb and work from ladders up to ten ft. in height. Eyesight, hearing and coordination must be good. Must be physically able to operate motorized vehicles with proper licenses.
