Our Client, a leading provider of analytical equipment and services, is currently seeking candidates for a Field Service Technician role. This individual will travel domestically roughly 50% of the time, responsible for the installation, support, and servicing of systems/instruments at Client sites. Our ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on electro-mechanical troubleshooting background and an ability to work well with end users.

Provide customer service and support for a given instrumentation product line, representing the company in a professional manner to potential and current customers
Perform installations of products at customer facilities including site inspection, physical installation, performance qualification, and customer training
Perform on site repairs, software upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Perform remote maintenance and customer support.
Diagnose issues related to electro-mechanical optical systems and determine proper solutions
Build and nurture positive relationships with customers
Track internal and external customer issues
Create and circulate timely and detailed service reports
Collaborate and work cross-functionally.
Follow standard operating procedures related to all installation/support/service, manufacturing, and inventory control activities
Produce and update documentation for standard operating procedures, work instructions, etc.
Provide insight into customer experiences and expectations, and deliver feedback to product team.
Become proficient with the company’s products, software, and technology.
Exceptional customer service, communication, and self-management skills
Minimum of 2 years of field service experience preferred
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
Able to use hands tools and electronic/electrical test instruments
Able to be trained on testing/troubleshooting procedures
Ability to read and understand product drawing and schematics
Strong computer skills - Windows, MS Office, Internet/Email
Education: Associates Degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent experience
Must pass criminal background check and drug screenings; Security clearance is a plus
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically, sometimes on short notice, both driving and/or flying
The physical demands include the ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at waist and routinely lift up to 40 lbs.
