Serve as an electrical technician to repair, install and maintain electrical systems at Radford University. Electrical work is executed in Academic, Residential, Dining, and Athletic Facilities.
Reporting to the Manager of Electrical Services, the electrician position requires experience with current electrical code requirements and general knowledge of electrical systems. This position also commands the ability to interact in a positive manner with the campus community and fellow employees in a diverse environment.
Journeyman's electrical license. Experience with installation, repair and maintenance of 3-phase electrical distribution and equipment. Experience with installation, repair and maintenance of 480V, 277V, 208V and 120V lighting systems. Experience with fire alarm systems, elevators, pumps, motor controls, generators and emergency light systems.
