Equipment and Tools Used:
Soldering equipment, electrical test equipment, pipe cutters, dies and wrenches, electrician hand tools, rubber gloves, grinder, drill, safety lock, mechanic hand tools. All arc flash related equipment.
Does general electrical maintenance, repair and installation work, may do mechanical maintenance and repair and trouble-shooting work.
Will load, write, and edit programs to robots and presses as needed.
Will operate all equipment as required by management.
checking and changing motors, checking and rewiring circuits, replacing fuses, light bulbs, switches; checks and maintains kiln recording and controlling instruments; changes thermocouples; may run conduit and electrical wiring and connect new equipment; may do trouble shooting on all equipment and do mechanical maintenance work; does cleaning as necessary and job sight must be left clean of parts, scrap, and maintenance items; records hours and parts used.
Threading of pipe and conduit.
Nature of Work:
Work is variable; must be alert and give close attention when working with hot lines or delicate instruments; may decide on repairs or extent of repairs and equipment or tools needed.
Must be able to lift 55 pounds from floor to waist.
Must follow and fill out all preventative maintenance work sheets, and fill out lists, Inventories, or inspections that are applicable to the job.
Will support Production as needed when directed by Maintenance Manager.
Work conditions vary from hot in kiln areas to outside weather conditions; some exposure to hand and foot injuries; must use considerable care to avoid
injury to self and others. Normally works alone.
