Gannett Fleming is seeking a MEP Inspector to support our Construction Management Services Team in Los Angeles, CA. The MEP Inspector will work in the field to provide construction inspection services during construction and installation of building Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) systems for new construction and renovation projects. You will Interact with construction contractors, construction subcontractors, engineers/architects and regulatory authorities (municipal, county, state and federal).
Responsibilities will include;
Monitor scheduling, Contract administration
Review of RFI, change order and submittals
Pay application review
Daily, weekly, and monthly reports and logs
Experience with on-site, in-the-field construction inspection and reporting for MEP inspections
Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goal
Responsible for setting own project deadlines
Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties
Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning
Tracks quality assurance progress
Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
CMSS has an opening for an experienced MEP Inspector for the Regional Connector Project for LA Metro that meets the following minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Degree
10 years’ field experience (min) with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, shop drawings and schematics
OSHA 30-hour Certification
ICC Certifications for Electrical, Plumbing, Building inspection or similar will be considered in lieu of degree
Prior experience on LA Metro Transit Projects with underground stations/tunnels is preferred
