Diagnoses, tests, repairs and installs electrical outlets, switches, lights, lighting circuits, power circuits, circuit breakers, electrical thermostats, rectifier units, small motors, transformers, and other miscellaneous electrical devices, systems and apparatus. Operates all types of electrical test equipment used by the electrical trade. Rhode Island Journeyman Electrician's license. Two years' related work experience. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Thorough knowledge of electrician duties and the ability to apply same skillfully. Must possess his/her own hand tools. Valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. High school education or equivalent/trade school preferred. Ability to work without restrictions for eight hour shift. Ability to work from lifts at heights of one hundred feet. Ability to work in areas needing self-contained breathing apparatus or respirator.
Requires a satisfactory result from Criminal and DMV background checks.
