1. Manages field supervision of repair, replacement, renovation and capital maintenance project implementation, or related operations procedures as well as other renovation associated activities such as furnishing and equipment installation, telecommunications data, lock-shop, MEP shutdowns, and signage installation. 2. Manages the logistics to provide efficient and timely move services for assigned projects which include all facets of alteration and new space construction projects at the University. Develops vendor scopes, understands programmatic needs and coordinates efforts with Project Managers and the Department/client including a wide range of University contacts and outside contractors. 3. Using the FAMIS project accounting system, takes fiduciary responsibility for the implementation of routine repair, replacement, maintenance, and furnishing projects as formulated in-house by the Associate Director of Project Management. 4. Interacts with external contacts such as New Haven building and fire department inspectors, contractors, design consultants, operations consultants, manufacturer's representatives and other project vendors during the construction phase to facilitate small project implementation. Establishes effective working relationships with multi-project CM Superintendents. 5. Monitors project and procedural details, and in partnership with the CM and Facilities Superintendent, manages resolution of field or operational problems. Proactively keeps Project Manager informed of potential problems which might jeopardize the project's scope, cost and/or schedule, and is resourceful in suggesting potential solutions. 6. Participates in establishing procedural improvements for the department's construction related field, or project operations activity. 7. May perform other duties as assigned.
