Essential Job Functions:This position will assist and learn in the installation and maintenance ofall types of electrical equipment on campus.
Assists in the installation, repairs, maintenance, of the electrical systems and equipment on campus such as motors, lightings fixtures, ballasts and circuit breakers.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical circuits, controls and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments
Assist and monitor performance of electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments or replacements.
Interprets blueprints; works from sketches or verbal instructions.
Assist in layout, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjusts electrical fixtures, wiring.
Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and completes circuit according to diagram specifications.
Tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
Tracks and maintains work tickets electronically.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
