To perform all electrical work assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Upgrade, install and maintain all electrical systems.
Perform preventive maintenance, repair and replacement of generators, motors, blowers, pumps, oil burners, and other electrically powered or controlled equipment, except those under a service contract.
Diagnose and repair heating, air conditioning and ventilation controls.
Service appliances, fire alarm systems, security alarms, etc.
This position is considered to be "essential personnel" (see handbook), and may be assigned work in other areas during emergency situations.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other duties as assigned by the Electrical Shop Supervisor.
LICENSES, TOOL, AND EQUIPMENT
Current Rhode Island Journeyman Electrical License
Valid driver's license required.
High school diploma or GED required.
Journeyman Rhode Island Electrical license required with a minimum of four years of experience in the electrical field.
Must be skilled in all phases of residential and commercial electrical work.
Ability to do assigned work without constant supervision.
Ability to work overtime, when required.
Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with supervisor, fellow workers and students.
Must be neat in work appearance.
Must be able to lift and carry 80 pounds.
