This Theatrical Electrician I position's primary responsibilities will be to assist in electrical setups, event set ups and productions taking place in and out of our facilities.
Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years in the maintenance and operation of electrical equipment in a theater complex.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of electric tools, A/V equipment, and sound/lighting consoles. Knowledge of video consoles, and controllers and devices.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Other Requirements or Other Factors:
Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and special events as necessary.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Four years in the maintenance and operation of electrical equipment in a theater complex including one year supervisory experience.
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Customer service oriented.
Installs and maintains electrical wiring, theatrical lighting systems, electric motors, generators, and simple electrical equipment.
Performs quick emergency repairs requiring total familiarity with A/V & lighting equipment.
Assists with the set-up of electrical equipment for performances and events. Operates electrical switchboard during performances and events. Sets-up and operates audio/visual equipment for meetings.
Trains part-time/occasional employees. Performs other duties as assigned.
